Well, hello there!

We are happy to announce that WordCampKC is returning to Kansas City this year on July 11th – 13th! It will be located in the Plaza area at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, a wonderful building that houses the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s mission is to help individuals attain economic independence by advancing educational achievement and entrepreneurial success.

What is WordCamp?

This year WordCampKC will have four tracks:

WordPress 101

This track will include a mix of tracks and panels that focus on the basics of WordPress. From choosing between .org or .com, content strategies, and working with themes or plugins… this is the place to get your questions answered.

Frontend Web-Design

This track will include design and development tips and tricks. Typography, theme customization, and which tools work the best will be discussed here.

Backend Development

This track will include heavy development work. Core contributions, how to get started making your own plugins, and an up close look at KCPT’s current modifications with WordPress.

Entrepreneur

This track will include discussions of how to manage multiple user workflows, eCommerce and other must know items for an entrepreneur.
